Melania Trump makes her second public appearance in a week as she dines with Donald at Mar-a-Lago

FORMER First Lady Melania Trump made her second public appearance in less than a week on Wednesday night as she dined out with her husband Donald at Mar-a-Lago.

The latest sighting of Melania, 50, marks just the seventh time that she's been seen out in public, having seemingly shunned the limelight since leaving the White House in January.

Images of the Trump's intimate dinner were taken by guests at the exclusive Palm Beach resort, showing the couple sitting side-by-side at a round table outdoors, behind a red security rope.

Melania sported an elegant sleeveless dress for the intimate occasion, while her former president husband wore a navy suit and red and white striped tie.

One of the guests who managed to snap pictures of the pair said security was "tight" inside the resort throughout the evening, with Melania and Donald seemingly not wanted to be bothered during their meal.

Just last weekend, Melania stole the show as she stepped out donning  a $1,900 white dress by Giambattista Valli, during a Republican fundraiser banquet held inside Mar-a-Lago on Saturday night.

The 50-year-old stood beside her husband as they smiled and greeted guests, who were mainly comprised of high-ticket Republican National Convention donors.

Former president Trump spoke for around an hour at the party fundraiser, according to reports from the Washington Post.

During this time, he’s said to have told donors that the Covid-19 vaccine should be named after him, and to have referred to the November election, in which Joe Biden won, as “bulls**t”.

Trump went on to repeat a line from 2015, calling immigrants crossing the border illegally violent criminals.

This time, he said, they were “coming in from the Middle East”.

Trump also hit out at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, labelling him a "dumb son of a b***h" for refusing to back his unfounded claims of election fraud.

Melania, meanwhile, is said to be seeking a quieter, more private life post-White House with her 15-year-old son Barron.

She broke cover on Friday to issue a joint statement with her husband, following the death of Prince Phillip.

She wrote: "President Trump and I extend our deepest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Family, and the people of Great Britain as the world mourns the loss of Prince Philip."

Otherwise, prior to her duel appearance at Mar-a-Lago over the last six days, Melania has made just five other very brief public appearances in the three months she's been living full-time in Florida.

In contrast, Trump has not shied away from the public eye.

He had been pictured on multiple occasions, seen playing golf, and even crashing an engagement shoot at his private club Mar-a-Lago.

One of Melania’s handful of recent public appearances with her husband was on Easter Sunday.

The couple was given a warm welcome as they attended a church service at Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida before heading to Mar-a-Lago for an egg roll.

They responded to the volley of cheers with delighted smiles, and turned around to wave back at the crowd.
