Man in 30s arrested after woman in 80s dies during 'burglary at home' as cops launch murder probe | The Sun
A MAN has been arrested after an OAP died during an alleged burglary at home.
Police launched a murder probe following the horror, which unfolded near Bridgwater in Somerset yesterday afternoon.
Cops today revealed they had arrested a man in his 30s.
Officers had rushed to a property in Broomfield around 5.45pm yesterday after reports of a burglary unfolding.
When they arrived they found the woman, in her 80s, badly injured.
Despite paramedics' best efforts, she tragically died at the scene.

Police quickly launched a murder probe and arrested a man in his 30s just hours after the call about the burglary.
Neighbourhood Chief Inspector Justin French said: “A cordon is in place while enquiries are carried out and there will be increased police activity in the area while a full and thorough investigation is carried out by our Major Crimes Investigations Team.
“We understand that events like this, while rare, may cause alarm and distress in the community.
"We would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to our officers, who will be out on high-visibility patrols of the area, with any concerns and questions they may have.
