IF he ever arrives late for an appointment, Ben Shephard can hardly claim he didn’t notice the time.

The Good Morning Britain presenter has been dazzling television audiences for months with his eye-catching selection of expensive designer watches.

But eagle-eyed viewers have noticed that he seems to have a particular attachment to those made by luxury British watchmaker Bremont.

Ben Shephard wears Bremont’s newest watch, the H-4 Hercules, which comes with a price tag of £9,495.

The 45-year-old sported the firm’s ALT1-C Cream model, which has a retail price of £4,795, when he appeared on air on March 12. Less than a fortnight earlier he wore the company’s newest watch, the H-4 Hercules, which comes with a price tag of £9,495. Mr Shephard attended its launch party at London’s Victoria & Albert museum last October.

He also hosted the launch of Bremont’s Supersonic watch, priced at £13,495, at London’s Design Museum in October 2018. On January 21, Mr Shephard appeared on screen sporting the more modestly priced Solo White edition, which costs £2,995.

The company’s website describes Mr Shephard as a ‘dear friend’ and he returns the compliment by wearing a Bremont watch on his Twitter profile photograph.

He also appeared in a social media advert for the firm last Christmas.

A source close to the broadcaster, who fills in for Mail on Sunday columnist Piers Morgan on GMB on Fridays, insisted that he has paid for all the watches he wears on television. ‘He is very passionate about them,’ the friend said. ‘He has worn them for a long time now.’

A spokesman for Good Morning Britain said: ‘We are satisfied that there is no undue prominence.’

Speaking of his Bremont collection, Mr Shephard said last year: ‘I love most of the watches. I have got a couple of the ALTs, the ALT 1, the ALT CR. It’s difficult once you start collecting, you can’t stop.’

Bremont was founded by British brothers Nick and Giles English in 2007. They are understood to be good friends of Mr Shephard.
