Walking Dead season 10, episode 16 promo: Will Daryl die as Maggie returns?

Zombie drama series The Walking Dead recently aired its penultimate instalment which will be the last one for some time. AMC has yet to confirm when the show will be returning after announcing the season 10 finale had been pushed back and would be airing at a later point in 2020. Despite this, many fans are eager to know what will come next.

American broadcaster AMC posted on Twitter in March: “Current events have unfortunately made it impossible to complete post-production of The Walking Dead season 10 finale, so the current season will end with its 15th episode on 5th April.

“The first 8 episodes of The Walking Dead Season 10 will be available for free on http://AMC.com and the AMC app, immediately following the last Season 10 episode on Sunday, April 5 through Friday, May 1. Please follow us at @WalkingDead_AMC for updates.”

The Walking Dead’s executive producer Greg Nicotero shared his own statement, which read: “Post production for those who are curious involves VFX, music, sound mixing and sound FX.

“This process usually goes up to about 3 weeks from air date.

“I’m finding out about this same time you guys are and it’s disappointing but the episode will not disappoint. Be safe everyone.”

Although there’s no release date, AMC has shared several clips and sneak peeks from the highly anticipated finale.

The main promo for the finale promises some high drama with Beta (played by Ryan Hurst) bringing war to Alexandria.

His lead the Whisperers and a huge horde of Walkers right into the heart of the communities with chaos ensuing.

But the survivors aren’t going down without a fight as Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) prepares for battle. He says: “Our plan is the same. Four groups, two in each.”

Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) gets ready to fight for Alexandria but Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is wary.

“We’re not all going to make it through. But this is the only way,” Daryl warns.

His words seem ominous and there’s a hint the fan-favourite could meet his demise at the hands of Beta.
