Vikings season six, part two will hopefully be arriving on screens before the end of 2020 and fans are keen to find out whether the Scandinavian Vikings were defeated. At the end of the first half of the season, both Bjorn Ironside (played by Alexander Ludwig) and King Harald (Peter Franzén) were severely injured. Some fans believe Bjorn’s former wife Porunn (Gaia Weiss) will make a shock return and help them in the Rus battle against Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen).
Will Porunn return to save Bjorn and King Harald?
Fans have not seen Porunn since season three, when she mysteriously disappeared, and fans have been wondering whether she is still alive.
She was a former slave who was eventually freed and she married Bjorn, becoming a fearless shieldmaiden.
However she was severely injured during a battle, and the scars on her face caused her to experience deep depression.
She was pregnant at the time of the battle and ended up giving birth to a healthy baby girl, but she seemed to experience post-natal depression.
Although Bjorn reassured her he still loved her, Porunn cut herself off from her friends and eventually left Kattegat.
Porunn’s whereabouts have been kept a secret ever since, and there is a chance she could return to the series for the final instalment.
Fans have taken to Reddit to discuss how they believe season six part two will play out.
Before Bjorn was confirmed to be alive, Autisticgambler said: “I do not think King Harald and Bjorn are actually dead.
“I think that Porunn, yes the girl they just suddenly cut out of the show and the other kings Bjorn summoned, will come to their aid.
“I also believe that Bjorn, although portrayed as dumber than Ivar, has predicted Ivar’s plans.”
However not all fans agree with the theory, saying Porunn is unlikely to make an appearance in the final 10 episodes.
Ghostface1357 said: “Porunn, she won’t return. However, the other Jarls/Kings will come to his aid and we’ll get a big battle next episode.
“Bjorn most likely beats the Rus’ and dies saving his country and Gods from destruction and therefore greater than Ragnar.”
While some are still convinced Porunn will make a comeback, others think it will be Bjorn’s brother Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) who will come to the rescue.
Ubbe had been in Iceland with wife Torvi (Georgia Hirst) during the battle, but if he catches wind of Ivar’s attack, there is a chance he may come back to help fight.
Fans are still confused as to whether Bjorn was experiencing dreams about the battle and coming face to face with Ivar, or whether those events really did happen.

Actress Weiss is on Instagram but she has not given anything away about returning to the series. Her last post was about her new series, La Revolution, coming to Netflix.
Fans have taken to social media to test the theory, with one saying: “I’d like to think that Bjorn is going off into the wilderness to find Porunn… #vikings #younglove.”
Another fan said: “I know this isn’t terribly important to the storyline, but I keep waiting for Porunn to come walking back out of the mountains…#vikings.”
Some fans believe Michael Hirst, who wrote the series, wanted his daughter Georgia to take on a bigger role as Torvi in the series.
Torvi ended up becoming Bjorn’s wife for a short time, before she married his brother Ubbe.
But others are convinced she will make a comeback as a stronger woman.
One fan said on Reddit: “Maybe she goes off to be a shieldmaiden with some other Viking group (there should be more Viking groups other than Ragnar’s right?) and years later she and Bjorn meet again, on the battlefield, woOoOoOo drama.
“Just imagine his shocked/incredulous face upon seeing her fighting against his group haha. (Did Vikings fight against each other though?) I do hope she’ll return someday, I actually liked her.”
Viewers had mixed opinions on her character, either loving or hating her, so the return of Porunn would create a stir.
Fans have since learned that Bjorn is still alive, albeit very weak, whereas King Harald’s fate is still in the balance.
Hopefully, the final 10 episodes will be released before the year is out and all will be revealed.
