Trespassers broke into the EastEnders set during lockdown
A group of trespassers broke into the EastEnders set during lockdown.
The trio — whose YouTube channel is UrbeXUntold — snuck into the set amid lockdown, and filmed themselves as they walked around Albert Square.
While there, they entered The Queen Vic, and one of the three attempted to emulate Peggy Mitchell by shouting ‘Get out of my pub!’
Additionally, they entered the Minute Mart also.
In the video — which was subsequently uploaded to their online channel — one of the trio said: ‘Right, guys. It’s 5am and we’re going for a little look around the old EastEnders set.

‘We know we’re going to get caught quickly, but …
The group were later apprehended by security, who asked: ‘Are you one of these YouTube lot then?’
One group member responded with: ‘Yeah, yeah. We thought we’d try our luck. We knew we would get caught quick. Where’s the way out?
‘You guys are fast, so quick.’
A security guard added: ‘The police are on their way.’
The BBC told The Sun newspaper: ‘We do not comment on security matters.’
EastEnders was forced to suspend production back in March amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and episodes were subsequently rationed out in an effort to ensure it remained on the air for as long as possible.
The final pre-lockdown episode aired on June 16, and thus for the first time in soap’s 35 year history, it was forced to go off the air.
Production resumed earlier this week with social distancing measures in place, and the soap will return to screens in Autumn with its four-episode-a-week format restored — albeit with slightly shorter instalments, which will run at 20 minutes each.
EastEnders: Secrets From The Square airs Mondays at 8pm on BBC One. Iconic episodes airs Tuesdays at 7:30pm, with the legendary Sharongate episode on offer tonight, while Amira and Syed’s wedding will re-air next week.
