Rebekah Vardy vows to ‘clear her name’ in Wagatha Christie court battle with Coleen Rooney

REBEKAH Vardy has vowed to "clear her name" in her Wagatha Christie legal battle with Coleen Rooney.

The WAG, 38, is due to go head-to-head with Coleen at the High Court after being accused of leaking personal details about her to the media.

Rebekah made the comments as it was announced she was appearing on Dancing On Ice.

She told Good Morning Britain: "We tried to sort things out amicably but it didn't work. I understand people think it's ridiculous but what was I meant to do?

"I need to clear my name, I want to clear my name.

"I will do whatever it takes, and I hope it's going to be resolved soon."

When asked by GMB host Piers Morgan how "tough" she has found the process, the mum-of-five replied: "I find it really tough but in comparison to what people have gone through with Covid and stuff, it's incomparable."

Becky – wife of Leicester City star Jamie Vardy – filed a High Court libel action against Coleen amid the infamous Wagatha Christie row.

Last October, mum-of-four Coleen claimed in a bombshell social media post how one of her friends was leaking stories about her.

She wrote: “After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be for various reasons, I had a suspicion.”

Coleen claimed she posted a string of false stories via her Instagram account with restricted access to see if they appeared in the media, which they did.

All the stories which were subsequently printed in The Sun were put to Coleen’s reps for comment.

She then said the fake stories had only been viewed by one person, and ended dramatically: “It’s . . . Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

Becky, who was heavily pregnant at the time, denied the allegations and claimed several people had access to her account.

Her lawyers are currently preparing for a bombshell hearing later this year at the High Court.

The case is unlikely to reach a full trial until next year at the earliest.
