Neighbours spoilers: Elly Conway and Chloe Brennan ‘reunite’ in love triangle exit twist
Elly (played by Jodi Anasta) has always had a dear friend in Neighbours sweetheart Chloe (April Rose Penally), both before and after they tried to embark on a relationship together. However, with the latter now a married woman and the former a mother-of-one, it seemed there was no hope the pair would ever get the chance to revisit their love for one another. As the Channel 5 soap prepares to bid farewell to the fan favourite in upcoming scenes, could the idea of being separated from her ex-girlfriend lead the former hotel manager to put her marriage on the line?

Although they’ve faced their hurdles in recent months, Chloe and her husband Pierce Grayson (Tim Robards) seemed to finally be enjoying married life together.
Unfortunately for them, they got caught up in the drama of Finn Kelly’s final chapter (Rob Mills) after becoming trapped on a remote island the villain set ablaze.
The pair managed to survive the terrifying ordeal but the sinister character ended up dead and Elly is the prime suspect for his murder, despite his death being a result of a freak accident.
Things aren’t looking great for the mother-of-one and although the circumstances of her exit have not yet been revealed, could the thought of life behind bars lead her to make some rash decisions, including falling into bed with her ex-girlfriend?

This doomed love story began when Elly was in a relationship with her former lover’s brother, Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), who she later agreed to marry.
What she didn’t realise was Chloe was harbouring secret feelings for her and in the lead up to her wedding, she was shocked when her sister-in-law-to-be planted a kiss on her.
Soon, this set off a chain reaction and saw the pair have a one-night stand just days before the bride walked down the aisle.
Guilt ate her up and after saying I do, she admitted her betrayal to her husband, leading to the couple going their separate ways.
For a while, things were frosty between the two women but the pair then decided to give their feelings for one another a chance after Elly fell pregnant with Finn’s brother Shaun Watkins’ (Brad Moller) child.
Unfortunately, their happiness was short-lived as Chloe realised motherhood would be her girlfriend’s top priority and decided to let her go.
Not long after, she was reunited with former beau Pierce and with her Huntington’s diagnosis playing on her mind, the businesswoman didn’t want to waste any more time and tied the knot with her husband.
Despite promising she had moved on from her ex-girlfriend, the idea of possibly never seeing her again could lead Chloe to commit the ultimate betrayal.

I’m very, very happy with my exit
An affair would certainly have consequences and although Elly would not be in the picture, the betrayal would begin a new and challenging chapter in Chloe and Pierce’s turbulent relationship.
Could the billionaire ever forgive his wife for cheating on him and could a divorce be on the cards?
It’s not yet been confirmed when Elly will bid farewell to Ramsay Street, but actress Jodi, 35, has revealed she has filmed her final scenes.
Teasing her character’s exit from the soap, the departing star told the Herald Sun: “I don’t have any say in the way I exit the show, but I’m very, very happy with my exit.”

Jodi added: “It will be next-level brutal. I can’t believe I get to do this on television,” so how will she leave Erinsborough?
At the moment, it looks likely the character will be wrongly imprisoned for Finn’s apparent murder as the evidence against her continues to stack up.
In a shock twist, the mother-of-one could make a run for it, not wanting to be separated from her young daughter, despite being innocent.
With the actress summarising her exit as “brutal”, it doesn’t seem this long-suffering will get a happily-ever-after?
Neighbours airs Mondays and Fridays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5.
