Myra Hindley and Ian Brady’s victims and what happened to them
Myra Hindley was a depraved and sadistic serial killer who carried out horrendous acts of sadistic violence with her lover Ian Brady.
Dubbed “the most evil woman in Britain”, she is now subject of a new ITV documentary, alongside someone equally as evil – Rose West.
Rose West & Myra Hindley: Their Untold Story with Trevor McDonald looks at the untold secrets of their time together in prison.
But here we take a closer up at the reason why Hindley ended up in prison to begin with.
She was locked up for killing five children in the 1960s. Here are the victims and the chilling details of what happened to them.
Pauline Reade, 16, was killed on July 12 1963, after being persuaded by Hindley to get in her car to help look for her glove while on her way to a dance.
The murderess drove to Saddleworth Moo where they met Brady, who arrived on his motorbike.
Pauline was sexually assaulted, her throat was cut, and her body was buried on the moor.
Her body wasn’t found until 1987, when the pair finally confessed.

John Kilbride, 12, was killed on November 23 1963 after being lured from a market in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
The child had been earning some pocket money in the market, and was offered a lift home by Hindley.
Brady and Hindley suggested they take a detour to the Moors, because they needed help looking for a lost glove.
Here John had been sexually assaulted and strangled, before being buried in the moors.
His body was found in October 1965.
How Dennis Nilsen died in 'excruciating' agony after 34 years in prison
More than 50 years later, one of the victims, Keith Bennett, has still never been found.
12-year-old Keith was killed on June 16 1964 after being lured into Hindley’s car on his way to his grandmother’s house in Longsight.
Again, the depraved couple took the detour to Saddleworth Moor.
Keith was then sexually assaulted and strangled.
It is believed that Brady knew where he had buried him on the Moors, but took the secret to the grave.

Lesley Ann Downey was the youngest victim at just 10 years old.
She was taken from a fairground on Boxing Day in 1964 to the couple’s home.
Lesley was tied up, stripped and forced to pose for photographs.
In a 16 minute recording she pleaded with her killers, saying: “don’t undress me, will you”.
In the recording, which was played in full during the trial, she also said “I want to see mummy”.
Lesley’s body was also found buried on the moors.

Edward Evans was the oldest of the victims, but was still only 17 years old.
The apprentice engineer had been lured back to Hindley and Brady’s house on October 6 1965 from a railway station in Manchester.
Edward was killed infant of Hindley’s brother-in-law David Smith.
The teenager was bludgeoned 14 times with a hatchet in the front room, before being strangled.
