The Cabins starts tonight (Monday, January 4) at 9pm on ITV2. Following in the footsteps of Love Island, the series will see 12 singletons looking for love to kick start the new year. Maisie Adam is taking on narrating duties with Clara Amfo and David Potts hosting the spin-off show Out Of The Woods.

Who is The Cabins narrator?

Maisie Adam is the narrator of the brand new dating show The Cabins on ITV2.

Just like Iain Stirling, who narrates Love Island, Adam will provide hilarious commentary for the events unfolding in each episode.

The Cabins is like nothing romance fans have seen before.

The 12 singletons will spend one night with their date in a romantic cabin, paired with prosecco, a hot tub, an evening under the stars and only the company of their potential new partner.

After spending 24 hours together, the couples will have to decide whether they want to spend more time together or say goodbye to their date.

Adam said: “I can’t wait to spill all the juice from life inside The Cabins.

“After spending most of the year staying inside, this is going to be both strangely relatable for everyone yet also absolutely wild as first dates go.

“Besides, I ran out of things to say to my housemates back in May, so it’s been nice to gossip about this lot in a room on my own!”

Adam is a 26-year-old stand-up comedian, writer and actress from Pannal, North Yorkshire.

She trained with the National Youth Theatre before going on to study acting at the East Acting School in Loughton.

In 2016, she graduated with a BA in Acting and Community Theatre and had her first stand up gig at the Ilkley Literature Festival fringe in October that year.

One year later, Adam won the national contest So You Think You’re Funny at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Her first full-length solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Vague, earned her nomination for Best Newcomer a the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2018.

During her comedic career, she has opened shows for comedians Lloyd Griffith, Gavin Webster and Kieran Lawless.

Adam also hosts the podcast That’s A First alongside fellow comedian Tom Lucy.

The Cabins viewers may recognise Adam from her appearance on ITV2’s The Stand Up Sketch Show alongside Georgia Maguire, Charlotte Hamblin and Seann Walsh.

She has also appeared on episodes of f 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, QI, Have I Got News for You, and Roast Battle.

Announcing her narrating role for The Cabins on Twitter, Adam wrote: “FINALLY I CAN SAY IT!!! anyone who knows me knows I b****y LOVE a dating show, so I’m over the moon to be providing the voice in your ears for this brilliant show – I can’t wait for you all to see it!”

Fans immediately showed their support and excitement to hear Adam voice the show.

One fan tweeted: “I can’t stand these shows. However, you voicing it. Ooooh, may take in an episode.”

A second fan wrote: “Was over the moon to hear you got this gig! Can’t wait to hear your hilarious take on the goings-on in #thecabins.”
