Love Island fans fume as Chloe mocks sharing a bed with Hugo in brutal name snub
Love Island fans are calling for justice for Hugo Hammond after Chloe Burrows mocked the idea of sharing a bed with him.
The 25-year-old blonde arrived late to the villa and in a dramatic twist, was told she had just 24 hours to pick a boy to couple up with, leaving their current partner single.
Yesterday’s episode centred around Chloe getting to know the boys and all the Islanders were curious over who she would pick.
However when fellow castmate Kaz Kamwi asked Chloe who she wanted to share a bed with, Chloe made a dig at Hugo.
Chloe said: “I'm just trying to think who I can fancy and spend a bit of my day with.”
Kaz asked: “Who would you want to share a bed with?”
Chloe replied: “Hugo, no, I'm joking.”
Later Chloe slammed Hugo again by forgetting his name and mistakenly referring to him as “Diego”.
After the girls asked her which boys she fancied, Chloe replied: “The only one I’m not getting a really sexual vibe from is.. what’s his name? I’ve forgotten his name.”
Shannon Singh suggested Hugo to which Chloe responded: “Diego?”
Viewers at home were quick to blast Chloe for her comments, with one writing: “Chloe does not & I repeat DOES not deserve to couple up with Hugo”.
Another fan said: “Why is Chloe joking about sharing a bed with Hugo? Rude”.
A third commented: “Chloe joking about sharing a bed with Hugo. He needs protection at all costs.”
Noticing the name mix-up, one fan tweeted “Not Chloe calling Hugo Diego… the disrespect.”
Others saw the funny side with people commenting on the wrong name with strings of laughing emojis while others joked it was a reference to the Dora the Explorer character.
“Chloe's been watching Dora the Explorer! Diego who?” said one viewer.
Tuesday night’s episode ended on a cliffhanger as fans were left on tenterhooks wondering who Chloe had chosen to couple up with.
In her speech detailing the reasons she had made her choice she said: “When I first saw him, I thought he was absolutely gorgeous.
