Family Fortunes fans gobsmacked over Gino D’Acampo’s hilarious TV doctor blunder

ITV Family Fortunes fans were in hysterics over tonight's repeat episode as new TV show host Gino D'Acampo made an hilarious blunder.

The This Morning chef asked the Foster family from Northern Ireland to name famous doctors.

The Foster family managed to get a few correct answers but the chance to steal was handed over to the Haldarvi family from Bolton, as the Fosters couldn't fill in all the blanks.

They correctly guessed that one of the missing answers was Dr Dolittle, seeing them steal the points from the round.

However, when the other remaining answers were reeled off, Gino, 44, made an epic blunder.

After listing off some TV doctors including – Good Morning Britain's Dr Hilary, This Morning's Dr Ranj Singh and Embarrasing Bodies' Dr Christian Jessen, the least popular answer on the board was revealed to be Doc Martin.

Doc Martin is the grumpy doctor Martin Clunes has played for nine seasons so far on ITV.

But it appeared the Haldarvi family and Gino himself weren't very familiar with the show.

Trying to rack his head around what it was referring to, Gino then said: "Like the shoes," mistakingly thinking the survey answer was referring to popular shoe brand Dr Martens.

Family Fortunes viewers were in hysterics over the gaffe and rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One social networker remarked: "Gino just referred to Doc Martin as the shoes – f***ing hilarious."

While another continued: "Lol doctors – the shoes."

A third added: "Did Gino just say shoes to Doc Martin?," followed by a string of laughing emojis.

Gino takes over the show from Vernon Kay, who hosted it before him, and Les Dennis, who was the original host back in the eighties and nineties.
