Viewers couldn't seem to hold back their emotions during the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 after Ukraine took the stage with a rememberable performance.

The energetic song by Kalush Orchestra got the crowd moving and certainly left an impression on fans at home.

But with Ukraine in the middle of a humanitarian crisis after the invasion of Russia which took place in March, viewers were left fighting back the tears.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on the performance.

One viewer penned: "Wow! #Ukraine I don’t understand a word but I have tears in my eyes."

Another said: "I have cried so many tears for Ukraine, that was f*****g stunning."

A third person shared: "Awesome performance. Had tears in my eyes. Love from #Finland."

A fourth added: "All the songs are new to me, not paid any attention until tonight. And I must say, the emotional context aside, the Ukrainian entry is really f*****g good."

But others were also convinced that Ukraine's song was definitely a winner.

Sharing their thoughts online once again, fans flocked to Twitter to praise the performance.

One person said: "Ukraine might have just won Eurovision. Rapping like Eminem. Catchy song. Great singing. It’s so catchy and super Eurovision."

Meanwhile another shared: "Who’s loving #Eurovision tonight? Amazing evening and some brilliant songs. Loved Portugal, Norway and Romania, and UK might just do ok? But I suspect Ukraine will win."

"I'm absolutely fine with #Ukraine winning. Go Ukraine!" A third exclaimed.
