Emmerdale star celebrates second anniversary with girlfriend

Emmerdale star James Moore has celebrated his second anniversary with his girlfriend Sophie Edwards.

The actor, who portrays Ryan Stocks on the ITV soap, marked the occasion with a touching post on social media, in which he thanked Sophie for her ‘support and encouragement.’

‘2 years, I can’t believe it,’ James wrote on Instagram.

‘We’ve had 2 amazing, happy, incredible years together. We’ve come so far from where we started.

‘We live together, we have our own little fur baby, and we are stronger than ever.

‘I’m so thankful for your support and encouragement and just pure, absolute love that you give me each and every day, and I can’t wait to make some new memories with you in the years to come.

‘Happy anniversary, I love you.’

Fellow Emmerdale stars were quick to comment, with Amy Walsh, who portrays Tracy Metcalfe, adding: ‘Congratulations!’

Matty Barton star Ash Palmisiciano said: ‘Huge congratulations both x’

Fans also left warm messages on the social media post, with one saying: ‘congrats you two lovelies,’ while another added: ‘Happy Anniversary’.

James has been playing Ryan in Emmerdale since 2018, when it was revealed that Ryan was Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) son, who she believed had died at birth.

Ryan recently struck up a friendship with newcomer Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), and the pair agreed to move in together when they learned that Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) was looking for new tenants.

Mack, however, threatened Ryan, after Ryan discovered that he’d stolen Brenda Walker’s (Lesley Dunlop) brooch.
