Emmerdale fans work out Esther birth certificate twist after Samson Dingle scene
Emmerdale fans think they have figured out a twist coming up with Esther's birth certificate after Samson Dingle and Amelia Spencer registered the newborn's birth on Wednesday.
Only recently, Amelia, who is in a relationship with Noah Dingle, revealed she had called her daughter Esther as it means "star" as Samson met his child for the first time after he was left injured in the storm.
However, in upsetting scenes on Monday, Samson told the newborn: "I know they’re all watching me, they think I’ll take one look at you and everything will change. But I'm only here because they forced me to. I don't want to be your dad and I will not let you ruin my life."
During Tuesday's episode, Samson bumped into Amelia and Noah as he said: "Look, I wanted to talk about registering the baby. I thought we could maybe go tomorrow?"
Amelia was left delighted at his sudden enthusiasm as she said: "Yeah, tomorrow sounds great!" but Noah was left upset as he thought he was going.
Delighted over the development as Samson walked away, Amelia gushed: "Maybe he's coming round after all!"
During Wednesday's episode, Samson and Amelia registered Esther as an excited Sam and Lydia Dingle asked to see the birth certificate as they held a celebration.
However, soap watchers think there could be a twist in store with the birth certificate as they took to social media to share their theories, especially after Samson was seen smirking.
One person said: "Why did Samson put his name on certificate? He said he wanted nothing to do with the baby. Is it a legal requirement? Even so, he didn't have to attend."
To which a different account replied: "I have a feeling he’s going to use his 'parental rights' to stop Noah being involved with Esther, I think he’s going to use Noah’s conviction for stalking Chloe and the fact he’s been in prison against him, even though he wants nothing to do with thebaby he’s going to be spiteful and try split Amelia and Noah up."
Another follower wrote: "I think he gonna stop Noah bring involved…"
A different account said: "He's up to something, did anyone else see a devious look on his face when talking to Sam on the sofa?"
Another viewer put: "So he has parental rights. I’m guessing he thinks if he ‘has rights’ he will be able to put her up for adoption or something like.."
While another follower added: "I reckon Sam telling him he has rights has put some stupid idea in his head that he can get rid."
