BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay left wincing by rude live blunder – leaving Sally Nugent in stitches | The Sun

BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay was left wincing after a rude live blunder today – leaving Sally Nugent in stitches.

The pair were back on the red sofa again on Tuesday and started the programme with the latest news and headlines.

At one point, the pair discussed the official dish for the King's Coronation next month, a quiche.

Jon, 53, then started to give BBC Breakfast viewers a time check, saying: "It's 19 minutes past sex…"

Jon's eyes immediately widened as he realised the wrong word had come out of his mouth, and quickly corrected himself saying "six".

As Sally, 51, laughed beside him, Jon continued: "Carol's got the weather…Morning! Carry on quickly please!"

Carol Kirkwood immediately burst out laughing from her studio, as did Jon, before she wished him a good morning and launched into her weather forecast.

The slip up was immediately picked up by BBC Breakfast viewers, with one writing on Twitter: "BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay definitely said it was "19 minutes past sex" before correcting himself and handing over to Carol for the weather.

"Was that a slip of the tongue or an admission?"

Another added: "Jon just said…19 minutes past sex @BBC_HaveYourSay @BBCBreakfast YOU SAUCEY DEVIL YOU."
