Ali Wentworth admits she’s 'never been sicker' after testing positive for the coronavirus

ACTRESS Ali Wentworth confirmed yesterday that she's tested positive for the coronavirus and has 'never been sicker'.

The comedian, 55, has been documenting her time in self-isolation on social media in recent weeks.

Now taking to Instagram, Ali shared a selfie of herself in bed alongside her dog to showcase how ill she is.

Looking downcast in the shot, she wrote in the caption: "I have tested positive for the coronavirus.

"I've never been sicker. High fever. Horrific body aches. Heavy chest. I'm quarantined from my family.

"This is pure misery" before ending it with the hashtag "#stayhome."


The Jerry Maguire star received a flood of well wishes from her famous friends as they shared their support under the post.

Broadcaster Andy Cohen, who recently just recovered from COVID-19, commented: "I am so sorry honey. Tylenol, Vitamin C, Pulse Oxymeter to measure your oxy intake to lungs."

"No. Oh Ali, I'm so, so sorry. So sorry. I'm sure you are in good hands but sending love. Xxx," shared Sarah Jessica Parker.





While Reese Witherspoon penned: "Oh Ali !! I’m so so sorry. Please rest and feel better. Sending you all my love xxx".

"Oh no. I’m so sorry," penned Julianne Moore and Amy Schumer added: "This ain’t right".

Ali's husband and Good Morning America anchor George Stephanopoulos revealed yesterday that he was broadcasting from their after she began to develop symptoms of COVID-19.


The Love Bug star has been sharing photos from her time in quarantine, including one post that explained her reasons for isolating.

"#istayhome for my parents, my in-laws, and all the health workers around the globe!" she shared after being tagged by Julia Roberts to take part in the viral campaign.

It is not yet known whether her husband George has been tested for COVID-19 after his wife's diagnosis.
