A Place in the Sun viewers livid as couple refuse to view property and snub Laura Hamilton with bizarre complaint

A PLACE in the Sun’s Laura Hamilton was left red-faced after a couple refused to view a property – and viewers aren’t happy about it.

Laura was tasked with finding the perfect property for her guests Ginny and Tony to retire to in Greece – but it didn’t go as planned.

Initially, the presenter struggled to find a home that ticked all of the boxes for the couple – and they even refused to take a tour of one property she selected out for them.

Tony seemed to have his heart set on a home that was "more English", which infuriated viewers in the process.

When inspecting the house, Tony said: "What I do like are the nice big windows, it obviously makes it more modern, and makes it more English."

His remark didn't sit well with viewers who took to Twitter to comment over the matter.

One viewer questioned: "It makes it more English? You're moving to Greece – so go Greek."

Someone else said: "More English? Why are you moving to Greece you k**b?"

A third person added: "'Makes it more English'! What a k**b! If you want English then buy a house in England."

The fourth property also impressed the guests, but Laura was confident she saved the best until last.

The 39-year-old went on to show the couple a historic three-bedroom home with two bathrooms and plenty of land.

However, the minute the couple walked inside, they told Laura the home was "very dated" and explained they "weren't feeling it" as it was too dark.

When Laura asked the guests if they wanted a tour of the rest of the house, they abruptly declined her offer and decided to leave halfway through the viewing.

The following day the trio met up to discuss the "more English" property which they viewed and they put in an offer for £225,000.

The offer was not accepted and, in the end, they were unsuccessful, but they wanted to continue their search in Greece.
