TalkTalk internet down leaving thousands of customers unable to work from home

THOUSANDS of TalkTalk customers are unable to work from home as they suffer internet issues.

Downdetector shows 23,000 users are having issues this morning.

The outage comes as thousands of people continue to work from home during the coronavirus lockdown.

Taking to Twitter to complain to the internet provider, one customer said: "No internet here in Newcastle, what’s the problem? I’m trying to work from home."

Another said: "No internet here in Manchester."

A third tweeted: "It's been down for nearly an hour now in Cambridge too."

On its service update page, TalkTalk says it is aware of customers experiencing issues with websites loading slowly.

A message reads: "We're aware some customers are experiencing an issue when browsing with web pages loading slowly.

"Our engineers are looking into this as a priority and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
