Noel Gallagher fans left confused as they spot him in Tesco doing his shopping
Noel Gallagher has admitted he is met by confusion from fans on a "daily basis" when they catch him doing his own food shopping at the supermarket
The Oasis hitmaker, 53, who reportedly earns more than £5million a year just in royalties, won’t let that stop him from living a very normal life.
He admitted he didn’t have anyone to help out with his supermarket trips, much to the surprise of those who spot him out and about.
Speaking recently on Matt Morgan’s Funny How? Podcast, he said: “I still get asked on a daily basis, in the supermarket, ‘What are you doing in here?’
“As I’ve got a selection of items in a basket, ‘What are you doing in here?’”
“People think that famous people have butlers and all the women are like Joan Collins and all the rock stars are like Mick Jagger, it’s not like that."
He’s even still partial to a trip to his local Tesco to get the food shopping in.

Noel added: “I still queue up to get in Tesco Metro… I have just a normal life, but an extraordinary job."
He went on to insist: “I wouldn’t have anybody doing shopping for me.”
And it seems he’s willing to get stuck into chores around the house too.
Noel told the host: “If my room needs hoovering, I’ll hoover it.

“I don’t like relying on too many other people for anything.”
It comes after it was revealed earlier this week that Noel and brother Liam Gallagher would be acting as executive producers on a new film to document their August 1996 Knebworth gigs.
The pair – who have been embroiled publicly in a feud in recent years – are working together on the release which is set to come out later this year.
The gigs famously attracted 2.5million hopefuls with just 250,000 fans securing tickets to the gigs, which took place over two days.
Other bands featuring on the bill included The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Manic Street Preachers.
Noel took to Instagram to announce the news to his followers earlier this week.
He shared: “The Knebworth concert film, directed by Jake Scott, will be released later this year to mark 25 years since the events.”
