National Lottery app down: Users report app not working ahead of EuroMillions draw

National Lottery customers have today reported issues with the official lottery smartphone app.

Ahead of tonight’s EuroMillions draw – which has a jackpot of £46million – hundreds of lottery hopefuls have experienced issues trying to buy a ticket.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has recorded a spike in National Lottery down reports this evening, with hundreds of reports coming through.

While on Twitter those hoping to strike it lucky with the EuroMillions draw tonight have been tweeting the official National Lottery Twitter about the issues they’re facing.

One tweeted: “Do you know how long your App is going to be down. I’d like to buy a ticket for tonight and can’t get to a shop”.

While another posted: “I can’t get on the app. It says it’s temporarily down. It crashed just as it was paying me £10 for an instant win!”

One added: “Can’t log into the app tonight to put the lottery on. What’s going on?”

And another wrote: “@TNLUK app is down”.

The @TNLUK Twitter account has been busy replying to users affected by the reported National Lottery app issues.

And the account has been advising people that are affected to try and purchase a ticket on the website instead.

Replying to one user the @TNUK Twitter posted: “I would recommend using our website for now and trying the app again later on.”
