This bag has the royal seal of approval.
Meghan Markle and Spain’s Queen Letizia both have some seriously enviable style, so it’s no wonder they share a fondness for the same wardrobe pieces at times.
Both royal women have recently carried the same CH Carolina Herrera Mini Doma Insignia Satchel Bag ($1,500), showing different ways to style the sleek piece.
From custom dresses to casual coats, Queen Letizia often rocks Carolina Herrera pieces, so it’s no surprise she added the Mini Doma style to her wardrobe.
The Spanish queen has carried the bag twice, including on a state visit to Sweden in November 2021 and again at an April 7 event for the 2022 Princess of Girona Foundation Prize.
Letizia leaned heavily into Carolina Herrera for her overall look at the event, sporting a white tie-neck blouse by the brand along with a repeat pair of tan suede heels to match her purse.
The thrifty queen added a checked gray Massimo Dutti skirt she’s owned since 2019 — and worn seven times over the years — to round out her elegant look.
Perhaps Markle was inspired by Queen Letizia when she brought her bag to the Invictus Games last week, but she styled hers in a very different way.
Pairing the piece with a tan Ralph Lauren Collection cashmere coat ($5,290) and trousers, along with a coordinating turtleneck, the duchess looked monochromatic chic as she met with British embassy representatives and athletes ahead of the games’ opening ceremony.
Like Letizia, we’ve seen Markle in many a sleek Carolina Herrera look over the years, from the pale pink Trooping the Colour ensemble she wore in 2018 to the red gown she sported at the Salute to Freedom Gala in 2021.
This also isn’t the first time Markle has twinned with the Spanish queen — they own the same red leather BOSS pencil skirt, and even wore it the same week in October 2019.
As for their matching bag, whether it’s a sweater and trousers or a more business-like skirt look, this style proves to be a versatile piece in any wardrobe, royal or not.
