Love Island series one contestants then and now: from babies and break-ups to reality show axings

Love Island series one made its debut back in 2015 when 11 fresh faced singles made their way into the now-famous video in the show presented by Caroline Flack and narrated by comedian Iain Stirling.

Since then, countless contestants have walked through the doors hoping to find love, but what became of the Love Island original cast and where are they now?

Jessica Hayes became one half of Love Island’s first winning couple back in 2015, with Max Morley.

Outside the villa, the relationship lasted around six months. Following the show Jess got engaged to Dan Lawry, however, their relationship broke down after they suffered a devastating miscarriage of their second child. Now, Jess is a single Mum to her son Presley who was born in 2019.

Max Morley won the £50,000 cash prize as one half of the winning couple of the debut Love Island.

Since Love Island, Dan has gone on to have high profile relationships with reality stars including Charlotte Crosby and most recently, Laura Anderson. He works as a social media influencer.

Hanna Elizabeth left the villa in second place having coupled with Jon Clark.

Despite announcing their engagement in the villa, the couple split days after returning to the UK. Hanna continued to work as a model and moved on with George Andreetti.

However, six days before she was due to give birth to their son in 2019 the couple parted ways leaving Hanna a single mum.

Jon went on to land a place in the TOWIE cast, however, was dismissed from the show in 2018 following an altercation with James ‘Diags’ Bennewith.

Josh Richie and Lauren Richardson were the couple who found themselves in third place on the first series of Love Island.

Lauren didn’t keep her original Instagram account and unlike several other Love Island contestants, she didn’t go on to do any other reality shows.

Meanwhile, Josh has appeared on a variety of shows including Ex On The Beach, Just Tattoo of Us, MTV’s The Charlotte Show and Celebs Go Dating. He enjoyed a high profile relationship with Charlotte Crosby from Geordie Shore which ended in 2019. Last year Josh announced he’d signed up to OnlyFans.

Cally Jane Beach and Luis Morrison’s coupling up stood the test of time and they became the first set of Love Island parents after welcoming baby Vienna in 2017.

Since their split, Luis has kept a lower profile and now describes himself as an ‘entrepreneur’ on social media where he tends to stay out of the limelight.

Cally now travels the world as a singer and model. She appears to be currently single.

Jordan Ring lasted 35 days in the villa where he had sex with devout Christian Zoe Brown

After leaving the villa, Jordan found love with model Nina Joanna and now earns a living on OnlyFans.

Zoe, meanwhile, has deleted all social media linked to the show and is believed to be still modelling.

Naomi Ball was amongst the crop of single ladies in the villa in 2015.

Naomi continues to live her best life as a social media influencer who lives in London.

Travis Almond only lasted a few days in the villa after failing to couple up with his pick of the girls.

Travis did his best to stay on TV appearing on BBC3’s The Year Of Making Love, however, he now works as a personal trainer.

Bethany Rogers made the cut to appear as a single girl on the first series of the hit dating show.

After leaving the show, the dancer was found guilty of possession of the drug ketamine at Bradford Magistrates Court.
