Is NatWest bank open today? Coronavirus opening hours and closed branches information

BANKS across the UK have been forced to close after the coronavirus outbreak.

Halifax, Lloyds and Santander have all temporarily shut some branches for the safety of their employees and customers.

NatWest has reduced its hours and is encouraging its customers to use online or telephone banking instead of visiting in branch.

Its hours were previously around 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am – 2pm Saturdays and closed on Sundays.

However they are now open 10am – 1pm Monday to Friday and closed at weekends.

The hours are subject to change so check your nearest branch using the store locator before heading out.

We’ve asked NatWest if they have closed any branches in the wake of the spread of the virus and will update this story when we hear back.

The news comes as several other shops and banks have temporarily closed or on the verge of collapsing after the number of Covid-19 cases increased dramatically.

Restaurant chain Carluccio's could go bust after closing its restaurants due to coronavirus.

River Island and TK Maxx have also closed their websites.
