Leilani Dowding reportedly quit the Real Housewives of Cheshire to focus on her new fiancé and their home together.

News that the former glamour model might not be returning to the ITVBe show broke after it stopped filming back in March when the coronavirus pandemic hit and put a stop to production.

It's believed the reality star instead wants to focus on her family and romance with The Cult musician Billy Duffy, who she lives with in Manchester.

The couple, who have been together for three years, got engaged in March, and Leilani shared a picture of her hand scrawled with a message written in black marker on her palm "I said yes" to confirm the news.

She wrote in the caption of the snap: "This virus has made me realise what an arse I’ve been taking so many small things for granted. Life can change SO fast in days.

"I’ve never felt such relief and gratitude that Billy could make it home before the travel ban kicked in. This surreal time has made me reflect on what matters most. It’s actually the BEST timing it could ever be!!

"I don’t care that there was no party, or a romantic foreign destination. The only thing that matters, is being together. I’m so lucky and so grateful that he can be home."

Leilani, 40, who is divorced from first husband restaurateur Richard Palmer, has since been making the most of having her man at home and not travelling the world with his band The Cult.

The 58 year old rocker joined Leilani on Real Housewives of Cheshire when she first appeared in 2019 for the 10th series, as he is based in Manchester.

The TV star has spoken openly on the ITVBe series about how she does not want children, while her partner, is not able to have children as a result of having prostate cancer.

Leilani is currently having a new family home built, which was temporarily put on hold during the pandemic, but now that measures have been lifted work has resumed.

She has shown off parts of the property which have some parts finished like the flooring in the kitchen which looks out onto garden and a decking area.

And upstairs Leilani is getting an entire room built as her walk-in wardrobe, that looks set to be epic.

Giving a brief tour a few weeks back she explained that it would be huge: "Literally nothing gets memory excited than real estate. Especially BEFORE and AFTERS. Can’t wait to show the finished room," she captioned a clip of the interiors.

At the end of July, the yoga fan said the house would be ready for them to move into mid-August but it's not clear whether the couple have met their deadline.

The kitchen was almost complete and she was just waiting for the TV to be fitted in the cinema room.

"So excited.. The original plans has full height cupboards for tall housing on the left but decided to make them low to have a more open feel even though it meant sacrificing cupboard space and moving the ovens, fridge and freezer to the other wall…

"I chose the floor, the doors, kitchen, counters, tiling, utility room etc.. There’s one thing I didn’t choose that I won’t point out (brownie points if you can guess) but they will be changed at a later date when we move in," Leilani explained.

In the meantime Leilani and Billy have been staying in a modest home until theirs is complete, which is surrounded by gorgeous countryside views.

In the gravel driveway that leads up to the property sits Leilani's pride and joy, a Land Rover Defender, as well as a couple of other smaller cars that she uses as run arounds.

The horse riding fan has snapped a few selfies in her full gear from inside her bedroom, which has a full-length mirror as well as a bed with a quilted headrest.

Their kitchen is all decked out in a white and grey colour scheme, with sleek gloss cupboards and grey countertops.

And it seems Leilani will be keeping the same colour scheme for her new place as she revealed the cinema room was being painted grey and the kitchen had light grey and taupe finished flooring.
