‘I’m Charlize Theron’s stunt double and married Liam Hemsworth’s stand-in
Charlize Theron’s stuntwoman has revealed how she fell in love with her stunt-double husband while on set for a world-famous TV adaptation.
Aurelia Agel Howell, 25, was becoming one of the most sought-after stunt doubles in the film industry when she met Liam Hemsworth stunt doube, Justin Howell while filming the Halo.
The aspiring chef had trained to become a cook in Toulouse at 18 before choosing to forge a new career using the skills she’d acquired in martial arts training in her formative years.
When Agel took a leap of faith and moved to Paris in the hope of broadening her chances of becoming a stuntwoman, she soon landed roles in big films.
The young adult trained as a stunt actor for four months before landing her first job as a stunt double for Sasha Luss in the French film ‘Anna’, directed by Luc Besson.

Shortly after, Aurelia landed a role as a stunt double for Charlize Theron in The Old Guard 2 and Fast and Furious 10; one of the most expensive movies ever made, at $ 340 million.
The stunt woman cemented her reputation within the film industry after featuring in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, which was shot in the US.
She was subsequently flown to several locations across Europe and North America when she worked as the stunt double for actors like Karen Gillan and Milla Jovovich.
“I tried out life at the stunt school for 15 days,” explained Aurelia. “After I had finished, I just thought: ‘Oh my god, this is what I want to do.
“I’m fighting to do martial arts, doing high falls and dire scenes, it was amazing,” noted Aurelia. “It’s not easy to be with a stunt person, but as we are both in the same line of work, we both know the challenges.”
Not only does the job carry a high risk of getting injured, but it has also taken a toll on Aurelia’s relationships, which are hard to maintain when you are always on the go.

“I’ve made new friends, but it’s not the same, it’s hard to keep stable relationships,” she noted. “It’s a big sacrifice, but it has been good for me, I live my best life because my passion is my job.”
Being in a relationship with someone in the same industry has helped keep her relationship with Justing afloat, however, as there is an understanding of each other’s “mad schedules” she explained.
After proving that they could juggle the demands of a jet-setting lifestyle, the couple decided to tie the knot in Toronto, Canada, just three months ago.
