I have no girlfriend, a dead-end job and live with my parents…I’m miserable – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: WITH no girlfriend, a dead-end job and living with my parents, I’m stuck in a rut.

Women friend-zone me after a couple of dates.

My parents are great but I feel stuck now there is nothing to do socially. I work for a landscaper and the pay is awful.

I’m a guy of 30 and 6ft 4in but lack confidence.

DEIDRE SAYS: A lot of people, both at work and socially, are attracted to confidence. My e-leaflet on Raising Self-Esteem shows you how to learn to value yourself.

If you do that, others will value you as a friend, partner and employee. Explore a range of career possibilities at nationalcareers.service.gov.uk and do the questionnaire to see what suits your personality.

Make more friends and someone special is more likely to emerge. Also, try volunteering, which is much-needed now. For details, see covidmutualaid.org.
