HP's New Envy 14 Can Run for 16.5 Hours on a Single Charge

HP has unveiled the next generation of its productivity-minded Envy 14 laptop at CES 2021, and the machine’s been given a massive boost in battery life on top of other technical upgrades.

According to the company, the laptop can now run for 16.5 hours on a single charge, an impressive feat given the rest of its specs, including its 11th-gen Intel Core CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q graphics card, 16GB of DDR4-3200 SDRAM and 265GB of SSD storage.

Aside from internal hardware updates, the new Envy 14 model also comes equipped with a 16:10 multitouch IPS screen, which HP says will offer a viewing area 11 percent larger than the conventional 16:9 display. The laptop is rounded out with a bunch of features focused on protecting your privacy, including a physical shutter for its 720p webcam, a specific key on the keyboard to mute your mic, and a fingerprint scanner to unlock your device.

For those interested, the new HP Envy 14 will arrive later this month with a starting price of $1,000 USD.
