How Real Madrid could line up next season with Mbappe and Haaland up front and Upamecano leading defence

REAL MADRID'S already star-studded squad could take on a much different shape next season.

The 13-time Champions League winners are set for a busy summer of incomings and outgoings.

The club are reportedly willing to part ways with five current players considered to be deadwood, including former Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

That would free up funds to facilitate moves for a number of new stars.

One of those is, Kylian Mbappe who is widely expected to be heading to the Bernabeu upon the expiry of his Paris-Saint Germain contract.

He would slot straight into Carlo Ancelotti's starting side on his favoured left-wing, forcing Vinicius Jr over to the right.

Real Madrid are also keen on a sensational swoop for Erling Haaland, who is available for a reported £64million in the summer.

And despite netting a Champions League last-sixteen hat-trick, that would cause Karim Benzema to drop to the bench.

Los Blancos have also been linked with a move for Bayern Munch star Dayot Upamecano.

His arrival would move David Alaba out to left-back, with the Frenchman slotting alongside Eder Militao.

Thibaut Courtois will start next season in goal again, with veteran Dani Carvajal at right-back.

But there could be changes in midfield, with 36-year-old Luka Modric in the twilight of his career.

Summer signing Eduardo Camavinga is waiting in the wings, and could step in for the Croatian alongside the slightly younger Toni Kroos and Casemiro.

Alternatively it could be Antonio Rudiger lining up at the back alongside Militao instead of Upamecano.

Rudiger is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the campaign, and has been linked with Real Madrid.

Elsewhere Madrid could lose out on Haaland to Manchester City, which would see Benzema keep his place up top.

Ferland Mendy is also highlty rated and could start at left-back, with Alaba moved into defensive midfield.

And it could be Kroos who gets the chop instead of Modric, with the Croatian putting on a masterclass despite his age in the Champions League win over PSG earlier this month.
