How Arsenal could line up next season with James Maddison, Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale after transfer splurge

ARSENAL are preparing for a major squad overhaul this summer which could see the likes of James Maddison, Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale arrive.

Earlier this month, the Gunners released NINE players, including David Luiz – with Martin Odegaard, Dani Ceballos and Mat Ryan's loans ending.

And that will force Mikel Arteta to dive into the transfer market to bring in reinforcements.

Among the priorities for the Emirates chief is a new goalkeeper, with Bernd Leno's career in North London seemingly over.

Arsenal have been linked with banned Ajax stopper Andre Onana in recent weeks.

But the Gunners have turned their attention to Sheffield United ace Aaron Ramsdale.

The Blades were relegated to the Championship last season with Arteta looking to raid them for £20million-rated England ace Ramsdale.

The Three Lions ace was recently called up for the remainder of the Euros after Dean Henderson withdrew through injury.

In defence, a new right-back is a top priority with Hector Bellerin – Arsenal's longest-serving player – finally set to be moved on.

The Gunners had been pursuing Emerson Royal – but he moved to Barcelona earlier this month.

Now, Arsenal are set to target £13m-rated Zeki Celik after his sensational season at Ligue 1 champions Lille – despite his horror start to Euro 2020 with Turkey.

At the heart of defence, Arteta wants another big-name centre-back to partner Gabriel Magalhaes, with Kieran Tierney the first choice on the left.

In-demand Bayer Leverkusen star Edmond Tapsoba was an early candidate, along with Borussia Dortmund's Dan-Axel Zagadou.

But now the Gunners are all-in on England and Brighton star Ben White – even seeing a £40m bid rejected earlier this week.

In midfield, Arsenal are keen on a new partner for Thomas Partey, with Granit Xhaka expected to leave the club with Roma boss Jose Mourinho interested.

Brighton ace Yves Bissouma has long been the No1 target, but the Londoners face competition from the likes of Liverpool.

In recent days, Arsenal have been linked with Anderlecht star Albert Sambi Lokonga – even launching a £13m bid, according to reports.

Further up the pitch, the Gunners are hunting for a new No10 to replace Odegaard with Los Blancos seemingly unwilling to sell or extend his loan in North London.

Arsenal have now turned their attention to Leicester star James Maddison, with Emile Smith Rowe providing back-up.

Arteta and Co are confident they can persuade the £50m-rated Foxes man to join – although the transfer fee could be a potential stumbling block.

The likes of Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette could also be part of Arteta's summer clear-out, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli set to continue their progression in attack.

Nicolas Pepe, who rediscovered his form late last season, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are also set to be regular starters next term.
