Celebrities whove donated their hair to charity – from Kate Middleton to Harry Styles

Donating hair to charity has become an increasingly popular thing to do, especially amongst celebs.

In a bid to make a positive impact on society, a large array of celebrities including Kate Middleton and Harry Styles have chosen to chop off their locks and, instead of letting it get swept up and binned, they've used it for a great cause – charity!

The Duchess of Cambridge anonymously posted her locks to The Little Princess Trust in 2017, causing a ripple effect of other famous faces to do the same.

It's an undeniably admirable thing to do and, cementing this fact, CEO of Great Lengths UK Joscelin McCourt told OK!: "We’re so proud to partner the Little Princess Trust, supporting the charity through the donation of hair extensions.

"These are then used to create wigs for children and young people, who have experienced hair loss through cancer treatment or similar conditions.

"The donation process is so simple, and the initiative not only helps to reduce waste in salons but gives back to an inspiring cause as well.”

So, if you're tired of your tresses and fancy a hair glow-up for the new year, why not put your chopped off locks to good use and donate it?

Here's a look at some of the stars who've done just that…
