BTS Perform 'Dynamite' — Straight from South Korea! — at 2020 Billboard Music Awards

BTS is back on the Billboard Music Awards stage for the third year in a row!

On Wednesday, the K-pop boy band performed their English-language hit "Dynamite" virtually from South Korea.

Sporting red suits, the fan-favorite group wowed viewers with an action-packed performance filled with choreography and a band playing the track.

Prior to hitting the stage, BTS won the BBMA for top social artist for the fourth year in a row. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are up for what could be their second consecutive award for top duo/group. The septet is competing against Dan + Shay, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5 and Panic! at the Disco.

Their win made the first group or duo to win back-to-back awards in the category since One Direction first set the record in 2015 and 2016.

In August, they became the first all-South Korean act to ever top the Billboard Hot 100 charts when "Dynamite" was released.

The BBMAs is a special show for the group. In 2018, they became the first South Korean artist to perform at the BBMAs and performed "Fake Love" and a year later, in 2019, BTS returned to the broadcast to perform "Boy with Luv" with Halsey.

Next, the boys will release a new album, BE, in November. And they recently released their documentary film, Break the Silence: The Movie, on Sept. 24.

Along with BTS, the night's performers include Garth Brooks, Alicia Keys, Bad Bunny, Luke Combs, En Vogue, Demi Lovato, Doja Cat, Sia, Post Malone, SAINt JHN, Kane Brown, Swae Lee and Khalid.

The Kelly Clarkson-hosted Billboard Music Awards aired live on NBC Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.  The ceremony — which took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles — was postponed from its originally scheduled April 29 date due to the coronavirus pandemic.
