AMD Gives Its Radeon RX 6900 XT Graphics Card a Liquid-Cooled Variant
AMD has just unveiled a liquid-cooled edition of its top-end Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card, extending the choices of GPUs for serious gamers.
Getting a slight performance boost from its standard edition, the upcoming Liquid Edition pushes clock speeds from 2,015Mhz to 2,250Mhz while its board power increases from 300W to 330W. The supported memory bandwidth is also brought up from 16Gbps to 18Gbps, though the card will carry the same amount of compute units, memory size as well as the RDNA 2 series’ signature Infinity Cache. At the rear is an HDMI 2.1 port, two DisplayPort slots, and one USB-C port.
While there’s no official pricing information yet for the Liquid Edition, for reference the standard RX 6900 XT retails at $1,000 USD. There’s also no precise release date for now, so those looking to build a new PC or upgrade their GPU should stay on the lookout for more information to come.
