Aldi launched sportwear and loungewear collections in April and the clothes turned out to be a huge success. Now, the discount retailer has turned its attention to footwear.

Aldi has followed its first ever clothing line with a footwear range.

Now, fans of the supermarket’s branded hoodies and pyjamas can wear them with white trainers or comfortable sliders.

Aldi Mania was launched on April 29 and included hoodies, pyjama sets, and underwear emblazoned with the retailer’s instantly recognisable logo.

Similar to some of its Specialbuys products, Aldi’s garments were limited edition and sold out quickly.

For customers who missed out on any of the supermarket’s clothes, they will soon be able to get their hands on some shoes.

The Aldi Mania trainers and sliders will be available to buy in store and online in the coming weeks.

The shoes will go on sale online from Sunday, June 27, and will appear in stores a week later on July 4.

Aldi’s limited edition sliders cost £3.99 and come in a navy blue colour.

They also feature a strap with the supermarket’s logo in pale blue.

The shoes will be available in sizes four to 10 and are unisex.

Meanwhile, Aldi Mania’s white trainers look similar to Nike’s Air Force One design and feature the supermarket’s logo.

The logo is striped and multicoloured.

The trainers are vegan friendly and made from recycled materials, with a memory foam effect insole for extra comfort.

Like the sliders, they also come in sizes four to 11 and are unisex.

In other Aldi news, the supermarket has announced it is looking for hundreds of sites around the UK to build new stores.

The supermarket is looking for 400 sites in England, 30 in Wales, and 20 in Scotland.

The sites in England are all over the country, from the north-east to the south-west.

Meanwhile, the Welsh towns currently on the list are mostly in the south of the nation, with some in North Wales including Pwllheli and Caernarfon.

Aldi is the UK’s fifth largest supermarket, and it has drastically expanded over the past decade.

Aldi opened its first UK store in 1990, and since then it has competed alongside Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Lidl as part of the UK’s six biggest supermarkets.
