Prince William Is "Concerned" About Meghan and Harry's Tell-All Interview
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are sitting down for a tell-all interview with Oprah on March 7, which is a pretty huge deal considering they haven’t spoken that much about their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family. And while Harry and Meghan were under no obligation to tell the royals about their interview, Prince William is stressing.
A source told Page Six that the interview is “cause for concern” within the family, but especially for William, due to it dredging up memories of Princess Diana’s interview with the BBC’s Martin Bashir.
While a source told The Mirror that the royals were “blindsided” by the interview, Page Six’s source claimed it’s “been an open secret at the palace for months,” and there’s concern about what, exactly, will be covered. “Tom had, like, 10 minutes with Harry and Meghan,” the source said, referencing an interview Harry and Meghan did with ITV News’ Tom Bradby. “Oprah has 90 minutes — can you imagine what she will do with that?”
Hopefully a lot because Meghan and Harry deserve to be heard!
