EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy, 37, has taken to Instagram to praise the NHS for their help after they fixed her daughter’s broken arm. Four-year-old Joanie had to undergo an operation for her injury, but is now recovering at home.

The mother-of-two shared a picture of herself wearing a mask as she cuddled up to her brave daughter, who was smiling for the camera.

She captioned the post: “I just wanted to thank all the staff at Princess Alexandra Hospital for looking after my little girl these last two days.

“She’s broken her arm and had to have a little operation to fix it.

“Every member of staff were absolutely incredible and looked after Joanie and me in every way possible.”

Natalie went on to say her daughter was now back at home recovering from her operation.

“Wanted to say if you need to go to hospital for anything PLEASE go – they are the best places when you really need them. #nhs #nurses #staysafe,” she concluded.

Many of the actress’ fans and co-stars flocked to her Instagram post to comment.

Kellie Bright wrote: “Oh my goodness!!! Give Joanie a squeeze from me.”

A second commented: “Oh no! Huge love to you and Joanie.”

“I hope Joanie feels better soon, how nice of you to thank the staff at the hospital, take care xx,” a third penned.

A fourth wrote: “Awww hope she’s ok!!”

“Bless her, wishing her a speedy recovery,” a fifth penned.

Natalie shares her youngest daughter with her fiancé, Marc Humphreys.

She also has, Eliza, 10, with her ex-partner, Adam Cottrell.

Earlier this week, the EastEnders star posted a rare loved-up picture of herself and Marc on her Instagram page.

The pair could be seen laughing as they gazed into each other’s eyes while sat on a sofa.

She commented: “It doesn’t really matter what’s going on as long as we have each other.

“And yes. My nose is rather large. @camera_marc #soulmates #laughteristhebestmedicine #kidsareinbed #peaceatlast.”

The pair have been in a relationship since 2014 and tend to keep their relationship away from the spotlight.

Eastenders continues tonight at 8.35pm on BBC One.
