Molly-Mae Hague admits she went on Love Island ‘for business reasons’ and didn’t expect to find love

Molly-Mae Hague has candidly admitted she went on Love Island for “business” reasons rather than to find herself a man.

The 20 year old, who ended up finding love with Tommy Fury in the villa last year, revealed she saw the opportunity to appear on the hit reality series as a “business move” as she gave her honest answers to fans’ questions in her latest YouTube video.

Influencer Molly-Mae, who recently slammed lockdown rule-breakers, wore a black Balenciaga hoodie while sat in front of her computer in her stunning Manchester apartment, where she lives with Tommy, 21.

Molly-Mae’s sister, Zoe, could be heard asking her the questions on loud speaker over the phone while she gave brutally honest answers to the camera.

As she was asked if she went on Love Island for business reasons by her sister Zoe, Molly-Mae admitted: “Yeah, I did. Because I went on there not really that bothered if I found love or not, I found love.

“When you’re not looking for something, you find it. Because I went on and, out of all the girls I was really chilled like: ‘If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t either way it’s gonna be a fun experience’.

“I think that’s why I found Tommy because I didn’t expect to find him in there.”

Molly-Mae then shared her shock at being chosen to appear on the hit ITV2 programme, which has been cancelled this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

She confessed: “I don’t know how I ended up on the show. It was the weirdest thing.

“Like I went for my auditions and randomly they were like: ‘You’re on’. And I was like: ‘Oh my god this is just a little bit crazy’.

“It was a very, very weird time for me. But, yeah I kinda guess it was a bit of a business move,” she said while giving the camera a cheeky wink.

Later in the video, Molly-Mae, who recently surprised her boyfriend with an incredible lockdown birthday bash for his 21st, revealed she had asked Tommy not to propose to her.

When asked if she wanted marriage and babies with Tommy soon, she said: “I don’t wanna be married soon but I think we will do things younger than I had originally planned.”

Molly-Mae then explained: “But, proposal… Tommy would literally propose to me tomorrow if I would let him but I keep saying to him: ‘Let’s just wait, let’s just wait, let’s just wait,’ because I’m too young.”

She added: “Just because we’re too young. It will happen one day it’s something we can look forward to together, so I just wanna leave it for another day.

“But they are two things that will happen soon, hopefully. But, when I say soon I don’t mean next week.”
