After spending weeks at The Priory while seeking help for her alcohol and drug addiction, Michelle Heaton is settling back into normal life once again.

The singer, who said Katie Price saved her life by telling her to seek treatment, spent some quality time with her children Faith, nine, and Aaron, seven, on Tuesday and took to Instagram to document the day.

Michelle, 41, took to her stories to share a clip of the trio heading out on a walk in the countryside as they enjoyed the sunshine.

They then stopped off at an ice cream van to get some treats following their walk.

The mum-of-two posted a snap of her kids sitting in the back of her car and eating bright blue ice lollies, while she tucked into a red one.

Later on, Michelle proved her sobriety journey is going well as she shared a picture of some mocktails in wine glasses.

She wrote: "Who says you have to have Alcohol to enjoy a cocktail… X."

This comes after the brunette beauty opened up about her guilt of leaving husband Hugh Hanley to be a single father for three years while she battled her addictions.

She told The Sun: "I felt like a bad mother – the worst. I'm so lucky I've got two beautiful children.

"They just want to see mummy well and they want to have 'fun mummy'. They just want me to play football with them, they want me to do their hair.

"It was those simple things that I wasn't able to give them."

The former Liberty X star went on to reveal that her kids picked up on some of the signs of her addiction.

"I never put them at risk in a physical way, but they saw me being sick and were worried about mummy and wondering why she shouted," she continued.

"And my husband wondered if I'd be alive when he woke up."

Michelle, who thanked fans for their ongoing support, said her addiction began to affect her marriage, with her bizarre behaviour convincing Hugh that she was seeing somebody else behind his back.

"There'd be an argument where I'd storm off and then get out the vodka," she expressed.

"I wasn't having an affair, but I was in love with alcohol. There's the sneaking around, the lies. It's protection of your addiction.

"Yet he stood by me the whole time. I wouldn't have stayed with me, I don't know how he's still here. If he had left it would have been the tipping point for me."
