Jodie Sweetin to Battle Ex-Husband Over Reduction in Child Support Payments

Morty Coyle, the father of the ‘Fuller House’ actress’ 10-year-old daughter, accuses her of failing to provide accurate details of her finances after she claimed that her income had dropped significantly.

AceShowbiz -Actress Jodie Sweetin is facing a fight to reduce her child support payments to her ex-husband after she was accused of failing to provide accurate details of her finances.

The former child star made the request to reflect a change in circumstances, insisting her income had dropped significantly due to the impact of the COVID-19 shutdown, and the cancellation of her show “Fuller House” last year (2020).

She also claimed she had no “foreseeable work” in the future, but Morty Coyle, the father of her 10-year-old daughter Beatrix, argues that’s not correct, as he is currently looking after their kid while she shoots an undisclosed TV show in New York.

According to court papers obtained by TMZ, Coyle believes Sweetin still banked at least $200,000 (£144,000) in 2020, and she continues to earn extra cash by recording personalized messages for fans on the Cameo app.

As for his own income, Coyle has been relying on unemployment cheques to cover his bills as he has struggled to find work as a DJ amid the global heath crisis, and alleges any reduction in child support from Sweetin will have a negative impact on their kid.

A ruling on the child support reduction request has yet to be made.

Sweetin split from Coyle in 2013 after just 15 months of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2016, and the following year, the actress was ordered to pay her ex $2,800 (£2,020) per month in child support.

Sweetin is also mother to an older daughter named Zoie, with her second husband Cody Herpin. They were married from 2007 to 2010.
