Helen Skelton shared a witty response when asked if she has a boyfriend after her split from Richie Myler in 2022.
Countryfile favourite Helen, 39, wed Richie, 32, in December 2013 and the pair went on to have three children together: Ernie, seven, Louis, eight and Elsie, 14 months.
However, the couple split in April 2022 – just months after Elsie was born – and Richie then embarked on a new relationship with Stephanie Thirkill. They recently welcomed their first child together.
Strictly Come Dancing star Helen has now opened up about how she responds when people ask if she's dating, revealing her time on Blue Peter comes in surprisingly handy.
Speaking to Grazia, she explained: "I was travelling all around the world, and seeing and doing incredible things. And whenever I came home and caught up with people, all they would ask is, 'Have you got a boyfriend?'
"I was like, 'No, but I've got a few world records!'"
Since finding herself single, Helen has frequently been at the centre of speculation over her love life and it was recently suggested that she's been getting close to Vito Coppola, who she met on last year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Helen was paired with Gorka Marquez on the show, while Vito also danced his way into the live final with Fleur East.
Helen was then among the stars who embarked on the Strictly live tour – joining Vito on the road.
A source told the Mirror: “Helen and Vito were good friends during Strictly, but really bonded on tour. There were two buses for the cast – the party bus and the quiet bus.
“They spent a lot of time chatting on the quiet bus and getting to know each other. They have a lot in common – a love of the outdoors, for example. Between shows they also spent time together one-on-one, like going for coffee, just the two of them. Then, if the whole group went for dinner, they would sit together, deep in conversation.”
Helen didn't directly address the claims in the new interview and instead said the speculation misses the point of her "busy, colourful life".
Meanwhile, Leeds Rhinos star Richie welcomed his fourth child, his first with Stephanie, earlier this month.
The news was confirmed by his rugby team coach Rohan Smith, who told sports reporters: "Richie has spent a bunch of time in hospital with the birth of his new little baby, so we've given him a little time off to settle in at home."
