Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton’s Commercial Has Everyone Buzzing

The Super Bowl never ceases to entertain, even for those less literate in the main event. All those men leaping in colorful leggings, stripes all over the field, eyeliner smears on cheekbones … what’s that called again? Oh, football.

Super Bowl LV on Feb. 7, 2021 certainly delivered on the sports drama as seasoned champ Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced off against the fresh-faced Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs. For those who don’t care as much about sports, the championship was still worth watching. The Weeknd absolutely slayed the halftime show. (We have a funny feeling red blazers are about to make a massive comeback.) Best of all, the commercials kept viewers glued to the screen. State Farm nailed it with a surprise cameo from Drake in its ad, and Tracy Morgan’s Super Bowl spot made some people really upset.

But one commercial that’s causing a massive buzz is the T-Mobile ad featuring Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. Find out why a strong mobile network is so important.

T-Mobile recreates how Gwen Stefani met Blake Shelton

T-Mobile used its Super Bowl commercial to orchestrate a major reunion from The Voice. The commercial features Adam Levine answering Gwen Stefani’s call from “a few years ago.” Gwen says to Adam, “I think I’m ready to start dating again.” Gwen lists what she wants: “I’m sick of L.A. guys. I want someone completely different. Maybe from another country and someone cultured and sensitive and who is not threatened by a strong, confident woman.”

The joke of the commercial is that Adam has spotty serviced due to his lackluster network so he only hears Gwen say: “I’m sick of L.A. guys. I want someone completely… country. Uncultured and threatened by a strong confident woman.” Adam then sets her up with Blake Shelton, who’s walking by singing about his wings and nachos. Blake shows up to the date in spurs, and the rest is history.

Twitter loved this commercial. “This Adam Levine, Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Super Bowl commercial is the best one yet,” one fan tweeted. “Gwen Stefani just won the best commercial of the Super Bowl!” another gushed.

Did they just win the best commercial? It sure looks like it.
