Escape to the Chateau fans have been left disappointed as their latest series recently came to an end. But Dick Strawbridge, 62, and his wife Angel Adoree, 43, have been enjoying some family downtime away from the cameras.
The couple were joined by their seven-year-old daughter Dorothy Strawbridge and eight-year-old son Arthur Strawbridge for a family getaway in a recent upload.
The family, who reside in the small market town of Martigné-sur-Mayenne, decided to explore France with a trip into the mountains over the summer.
Taking to Instagram, Dick shared a candid photo as he reflected on their holiday getaway.
In view of his 169,000 followers, he penned: “This summer the Strawbridges’ thought they would explore a bit more of France which resulted in many ‘firsts’ together as a family, like this monumental moment captured on top of the world at Aiguille du Midi.”(sic)
The Channel 4 star added the hashtags: “#thechateau #angelstrawbridge #dickstrawbridge #escapetothechateau.”
Fans flocked to comment on the post, as Emily Busfield gushed: “Fabulous, love you all heaps. Next to mine your my favourite family.”(sic)
Creative Princess penned: “Wow! Enjoy guys a proper winter wonderland. Would make a fab Xmas card.”(sic)
“Great weather for your visit, we were lucky too when we went up. It’s stunning up there,” Wendy Silcock commented.
Dick also took the opportunity to share the family photo on his Twitter account.
The family resides at their 19th Century Chateau de la Motte Husson which features on the popular Channel 4 series Escape to the Chateau.
The stunning building was used as Dick and Angel’s wedding venue, and the couple now host weddings for other guests.
The pair tied the knot in 2015 after the couple had met through their agent who believed they had a “similar work ethic”.

Dick told You Magazine: “So Angel and I had our fun, then I told her it was time for her find a young man, have children, because I felt I shouldn’t keep her from that.
“And what she said, bloody woman, was that she actually wanted me.”
Dick was previously married to his first wife Brigit Howard but after 28 years together they split in 2010.
During their marriage, the couple had two children, James and Charlotte.
Meanwhile, Angel and Dick have won over viewers with their Channel 4 series which first came to screens in 2016.
The series has proven to be so popular, it inspired a number of spin-offs including Escape to the Chateau DIY and Escape to the Chateau: Make, Do and Mend.
The family recently wrapped up the latter series which aired over the summer.
Escape to the Chateau is available to watch on All4.
