Chrissy Teigen in hospital after ‘constant bleeding’ during pregnancy

Chrissy Teigen has been taken to hospital after experiencing heavy bleeding during her pregnancy.

The Lip Sync Battle host is expecting her third child – a baby boy – with husband John Legend, and is already mother to daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two.

On Sunday night, Chrissy shared videos from her hospital bed explaining how the bleeding grew worse after spending weeks on bed rest.

‘I’ve been on bed rest for a few weeks and that’s like, super serious bed rest,’ she explained in her Instagram stories.

‘I get up to quickly pee and that’s it, I take baths twice a week, no showering. Just as little as possible.

‘I was always, always bleeding. I’m about halfway through pregnancy and the blood has been going on for like a month – maybe a little less than a month.

‘But we’re talking more than your period, girls and definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot and it’s usually fine, but mine was a lot.’

The 34-year-old went on to reveal how the bleeding yesterday was ‘a bit different’ and felt as though a ‘faucet had been turned onto low’ and left to run.

‘It was at the point today where it was just never stopping bleeding,’ she revealed, adding: ‘There’s so much more than you can ever imagine and I share a lot.’

Breaking down her condition, Chrissy continued: ‘In the simplest of terms, we can say that my placenta is really, really weak.’

The former model went on to reassure fans about her baby boy’s health and added: ‘So I feel really good, the baby’s so healthy. Growing so much stronger than Luna or Miles. He moves a lot, so much earlier than they ever did.

‘He’s so strong and I’m just so excited for him because he’s so wonderful and just the strongest little dude. I can’t wait for him.’

In her typical wit, Chrissy added: ‘He’s the strongest little dude in the shittiest house. His house is falling apart.’

‘It’s so weird because I feel really good. I’m usually at my happiest pregnant mood-wise… so that’s why it’s so hard for me to come to terms with,’ she said.

The TV presenter admitted it was ‘scary’ and hoped that she and her baby boy can get through the ‘danger zone’.

Chrissy and John, 41, welcomed Luna and Miles via IVF after struggling to conceive naturally. However this time, she was able to fall pregnant without treatment.
