Chadwick Boseman's widow Simone Ledward Boseman stuns at the Oscars

Chadwick Boseman’s widow Simone Ledward Boseman stuns in a custom pink Atelier Versace gown while attending the 93rd Oscars

Chadwick Boseman was nominated for his first Oscar for his final role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, with his widow Simone Ledward Johnson arriving to the Oscars to accept the award on his behalf, if he had won.

The 29-year-old attended the awards ceremony at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night, though her late husband lost out to Anthony Hopkins for The Father.

Ledward had previously accepted Boseman’s wins at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards for his portrayal of Levee in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

Ledward Boseman looked simply stunning in a custom pink Atelier Versace gown, with jewelry from Bulgari for her Oscar look.

Versace revealed that the gown was, ‘crafted from 35 meters of coral silk cady and georgette, the dress elegantly drapes around the body.’

The dress took over 260 hours to construct with another 300 hours for the embroidery.

Simone’s longtime stylist, Ashley P. Weston, also shared snaps of Simone’s look on Instagram, along with a heartfelt message.

‘Thank you, Chadwick, for surrounding us with your love tonight,’ the stylist began in her Instagram caption.
