BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent sparked a frenzy amongst viewers this morning as she put her flawless pins on display in a summery knee-length dress to present the show. The presenter, 50, took to social media to share a picture of herself and co-star Dan Walker on set as they prepared to go live.

The picture, which showed the pair sitting on the programme’s staple red sofa, gave fans a closer look at Sally’s outfit of choice.

The broadcaster opted for a summery mini dress in pink with amoeba prints all over.

In a tweet shared with her 144,000 followers, Sally simply penned: “Morning everyone @BBCBreakfast”

Marvelled fans rushed to the tweet’s replies to heap praise on the presenter.

Shelly_RM wrote: “Gorgeous spring dress Sal!” (sic)

Higheelifes added: “Lovely dress @sallynugent gorgeous.”

Another viewer likened Sally’s moment in the pink number to that of Sharon Stone in hit film Basic Instinct.

Twitter user @marklittledale wrote: “Wow, that is a short dress that [you’re] wearing this morning! When I first turned the telly on, I thought I was watching basic instinct!” (sic)

Some Twitter users also asked Sally where she had bought her dress.

Sally and Dan will part ways later this year as the latter is set to leave the programme after 6 years.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant announced last month he is set to move over to 5 News on Channel 5.

He will be joining Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije, who co-presents 5 News, which is produced by ITN.

Dan first started working on BBC Breakfast in 2016 after fronting Football Focus.

Sally reacted to the news of her colleague’s departure in a heartfelt tweet in which she encouraged his to “go and be fabulous.”

She penned: “We’re not just colleagues but we’re friends too. Dan is simply brilliant to sit next to. I will miss him. Go and be fabulous.”

Dan emotionally replied: “You’ll set me off. See you in the morning, partner.”

He had issued a statement revealing the motivation behind his career move.

Dan said: “I can’t wait to get stuck into the daily news show, but I am also excited about making some great new TV for Channel 5.

“I love their ideas and creativity and it’s rare to get an opportunity like this where paths and ambitions meet.

“The chance to do something different was too good to turn down.”
