Woman mortified after spotting embarrassing error on her CV after sending off job application

YOUR CV says a lot about who you are when applying for a job, so it makes sense to go over it meticulously before sending it to your potential employer.

But one woman certainly learned a life-changing lesson after a very embarrassing error on her job application – and she was absolutely mortified when she realised.

Jobseeker Marissa, a student teacher, made her glaring error known on TikTok, sharing a clip which has since been viewed more than four million times

"You think you’re having a bad day? I just sent this resume without changing the template picture," she wrote.

You see, Marissa did what many people would and chose a CV template to work off.

While she certainly made every effort to perfect the written content, she claims to have forgotten to change the most obvious detail – the image.

She claims that it wasn't until she sent off the application that she realised she'd completely overlooked the stock image used on the template.

And the middle aged man and medical professional is not at all representative of her own actual appearance – a young, female student applying for a teaching role.

The clip left TikTok users in stitches, as one said: "Just imagine the confusion on the HR employee's face."

Another pointed out: "It's the fact that he is dressed as a doctor and your resume says student teacher that is sending me to MARS."

Amused, a third added: "Girl, not to make the situation worse, but I haven't stopped laughing in 10 mins."

Others were quick to reassure her as a recruiter chimed in and said: "As a recruiter – this is soooo funny! I would understand if you were honest and quickly sent a revised copy."

But it seems she wasn't alone as many shared their own embarrassing, but equally hilarious, stories.

"I was trying to upload my dog's picture for the daycare website," one person recalled." And I accidentally uploaded my weight loss progress pictures instead."

Let this be a lesson to us all. Triple check EVERYTHING. Always.

For more hilarious fails, this mum’s at-home hair dye attempt goes SO wrong she has to go to the car wash to rinse it off.

And this mortified mum is ‘looking for a new school’ after girl, 6, accidentally takes her THONG to class & shows it to the teacher.

Meanwhile, horrified mum shares the ‘bizarre’ way her husband stores slow cooker leftovers leaving others fuming.
