August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, born to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and Lucas Philip Tindall, born to Mike and Zara Tindall, both have sweet tributes to Philip.

Princess Eugenie and Jack welcomed their first child on February 9, 2021.

The couple revealed they chose August’s middle name in honour of Eugenie’s grandfather, who was admitted to hospital that week.

Eugenie wrote on Instagram: "On his grandfather's birthday weekend, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy.

"He is named after his great grandfathers and both of his great x5 grandfathers."

Last month, Zara Tindall gave birth to her third child – a baby boy named Lucas Philip Tindall – also in a touching nod to the Duke of Edinburgh.

Husband Mike confirmed the happy news on his podcast – and revealed the Queen's "warrior" granddaughter gave birth on the bathroom floor.

Zara and Mike are also parents to Mia Grace, seven, and Lena Elizabeth, two.

In total, Prince Philip and the Queen have 10 great grandchildren, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Archie and Savannah and Isla Phillips.

This number will increase to 11th with the arrival of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's second baby, who is due this summer.

These are the most popular royal baby names across the world – as Archie is beaten by George and William.

These are the four similarities between Princess Eugenie and Meghan Markle’s birth you probably missed.
